Curling long hair?

ok well my hair is really long and straight. like a little past the middle of my back. my cousin curled it once with this big curling iron and it came out really cute. i want to curl it again for picture day but i dont have my own curler and she's in college. plus i dont want to sleep on the curls cuz i heard that makes it turn out bad.

does anyone know the best curling iron brands and sizes for long straight thick hair? ty so much. =)

Yes, the best for the best price would definitely be 鈥淗ot Tools鈥? I鈥檝e tried many other brands.. cheaper and pricier. I would say that this brand is good for it鈥檚 price.. (roughly around $40). Size wise, I would suggest 1 陆 inch barrel so that it鈥檚 not too big where the curl will get loose, but it鈥檚 also not going to take hours to style :) good luck.

i would probably use a 2" curling iron. and i really like the hot tools brand, but you can only get them at a beauty supply. gold n hot is a good brand too. or, bed head just came out with a line of styling tools. i haven't used their curling irons, but i have used the flat irons, and i love them. but i would totally go with a 2 inch iron.

try using a Halo Curling shampoo and conditioner. then dry/style you hair w/ a ceramic iron

Ok, so I have told lots of people this, with clean, wet hair, add gel or mousse and french braid it and sleep on it with taking it out in the morning. It wont give you wringlets but a cool kink or curl and it holds forever. Thats my "curling" secret.

Enzo Milano curling irons are AMAZING! my hair stays curled for about five minutes with a regular one, but with my enzo milano iron, i curled my hair at ten oclock pm and slept in it and brushed it and it was still curly. they are expensive, but if you are going to curl your hair alot, they are totally worth it.
