What hair product can I use to regrow my hair?

I'm getting a big bald spot on my head. Is there any product to use to stop this from happening or get my hair back?

What hair product can I use to regrow my hair?

i swear by cod liver oil tablets...my hair started falling out in bunches a few months ago and the regrowth after taking the tablets has been phenomenal.

i promise you they will make a difference!!

also try hot oil massages with olive or coconut oil

What hair product can I use to regrow my hair?

Read about the bald spots on your head. If the spots are in the size of a quarter and has a smooth surface. Check out the images in the website below, if its similar then it must be Alopecia Areata.

My bro managed to find a website called http://www.ALOPECIA-AREATA-CURE.com when he had the same problem that explains about the condition and suggests treatment. He gave it a try and to all our surprise he recovered.

Its quite informative. Your might want to give it a try. Wish you a quick recovery.

Growing out my hair.?

Okay...sooooo over the summer i had really really long hair.. like down to wear my rib cage starts. and i got really frustrated with it and chopped it off to aout 2 inces off my shoulder..

BIG MISTAKE. its AWFUL growing it out. i don't necessarily want it that long again but maybe like 5 inches below my shoulders.

anyone have any idea how long it will take (my hair grew out about 3 inches so its restings nicley on my shoulders)?

anyone know how to help speed up the process or help me forget about my hair issues?

haha thanks!

Growing out my hair.?

Ok do it right this time. Go to a HAIRDRESSER and have him/her do a bevel cut. Either you bevel the top in which case it will gently turn up or bevel it under, which would be my suggestion. Once you get it all doing the right thing it will grow out gracefully. Hair typically grows a half inch per month. Don't try to do this yourself. Also if the stylist does a bevel from underneath she should make you tuck your chin to your chest as far as you can when she cuts your neckline. That's just the way it should be done. Good luck..

Growing out my hair.?

hair grows 1/2 an inch a month, take BIOTIN pills it will help hair grow a tad faster

Growing out my hair.?

hair is protein, a diet that is too low in protein may cause some thinning in hair or a retardation in the growth cycle. If you eat a protein-rich diet it will often result in improved hair growth. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

My friend asked her doctor, who said it was no big deal. But does it really come from heredity, cuz her mom has slighty more hair and her dad has a lot (considering he is a man), but they came from a place where it didnt matter as much to be slighty more hairy. i was guessing that she could have more testosterone in her blood? does it just go away with age?

and...she knows of all the ways to remove hair, but is it really a good idea to wax an area with light hair b/c it would end up irritatting the skin more? and..do creams like veet and nair work on the arms/chest/back?

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

Hair on girls comes about in the same way as on boys because of

1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it.

* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration. It works properly only on dark hair and light skin.

* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US).

In many parts of the world it's regarded as quite OK for women to be hairy. In Italy it's perfectly normal for younger women to have an obvious moustache. In Germany and Russia it's regarded as absolutely normal for middle-aged women to wear a full, male-type moustache.

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

Some girls are werewolves.

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

It's because of your hormons.

You will not be able to get rid of it.

The only choice you have is shaving or waxing.Good luck

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

it's strictly genetic. if testosterone generates more hair, how come so many men are bald? propecia, the drug for the treatment for hair loss, actually works by blocking testosterone.

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

Im sure it is because of the raised levels of testosterone and im also positive there is something the doctor can give you i just cant remember what its called.Go back and see your doctor!!

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

Your genetic makeup and hormones influence the amount of body hair you have. If her doctor says her hormones are fine, then chock it up to genetics. Over time, continued waxing will make the hair become finer and go away because the follicles become damaged and eventually will stop growing hair.

I think creams are way more irritating than waxing. They usually use a chemical called calcium thioglycolate which breaks down the bonds in keratin (your hair and skin are both made of it), weakens the hair and makes it easy to scrape off. They often will give me a rash that feels like a burn and make my skin feel really sensitive.

Why do some girls have relatively more body hair?

Well, it can be both genetic AND hormonal. If the women in her family are very hairy then there's a greater chance of her being hairy. Also, if she suffers from certain hormonal imbalances, which could affect her period etc, then yes, that may cause her to become more hairy, because of the raised levels of androgens (male hormones) in her body. But as her doctor said not to worry then it is less likely that she is suffering from a hormonal problem, or he / she would have spotted it.

As for hairiness going away with age....I'm afraid not. As a woman gets older and approaches menopause the androgen levels in her blood rise and she gets hairy-er :(.

As for hair removal.....I've never waxed, but some of my friends have, and some of them do wax everywhere....believe me when I say everywhere! I even heard of a woman waxing her underarms, UGH!

The Nair and stuff can work almost anywhere - read the label to see where NOT to use it! But, I believe that you would have to be extra careful in areas where the skin is sensitive (example your face) of where there hair is very thick. The longer you leave these creams on your skin, the more likely you are to get 'burnt' by the chemicals in them.....read the label again and don't go over the time limit.

Girls! Which hair looks best on ME?

I don't have any pics of me to show, but I have a very similar face shape to Brad Pitt/Dominic Purcell - basically broad cheekbones, and strong jawline that sticks out.

I know that girls are different on what they like, and also that different hair lengths look better on some guys than others. So with someone like me with a very masculine face, -big jaw and cheekbones, heavy brow ridges, what hairstyle would suit me?

At the moment I have a buzz cut no 1, and I get a lot of second looks from girls so I think this is the one that suits me, but I want to make sure. I have had the normal medium length hair with the front gelled up but I don't remember girls taking second looks at me, even though thats what most girls tell me they like, but after the buzz it seemed to make a difference.

Thanks!

Girls! Which hair looks best on ME?

Don't assume they are taking a second look because it looks good, they could be thinking you'd look better if it was say a number 4. Lots of girls like to be able to run their fingers through a guys hair. I do!!!

How can I get Micro Braids that aren't to big to where it makes my head look big?

Ok, I've gotten Micros 4 times in my life on twice were they done right. It just seems like, they put to many into my head which makes me have a lot alot of hair, and hard to put into pontails or do cute styles with it! So I was thinkin of just doing Single, but those I think ar e too big! What is the best way to explain how I want it done? What is the best type of hair to use? (I perfer human!) Or does anyone even know what I mean? lol

African American Hair

How can I get Micro Braids that aren't to big to where it makes my head look big?

I would tell them I want "Human hair, braided almost to the end...not quite. Or at least past your real hair". That way, none of your natural hair will be in the way. And The ends are more secure, so it will not be so full.

And go to a "Braiding Gallery"...or Salon. A professional.

Good Luck

How can I get Micro Braids that aren't to big to where it makes my head look big?

my friend had them "interlocked" I guess this means woven in like a weave. you should get the fine human hair otherwise you're gonna look like New York after a swim party, lol. but they looked cute on my friend and didn't make her head look big. good luck girlie

Help for broken hair due to dying & chemical straightening..?

I've now learnt to treat my hair with respect. It is naturally brown and I went blonde last year. I also tried a store's own chemical straightening cream to see if I could make it smoother %26amp; straighter. Big fat mistake. A few days later the front strands went wrinkly and damaged, then broke off. I now have what looks like a thick fringe gone wrong, and I always clip it back so people don't see what a mess it is. It has grown a few inches since but is still damaged and I still get the odd few strands breaking off. I use a good conditioner/treatment; is there anything else I can do to help it apart from wait for the healthy hair to grow?? I'm growing it now and will never put chemicals on it again until I go grey. Any vitamins I can take? I eat a very healthy diet %26amp; exercise, and wash my hair every other day. I don't think extensions would help would it? thanks

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

hi i'm a hairdresser

lol yeah bleaching hair and then chemically straightening, recipie for disaster.

i had colour correction last yr - brown hair dyed bk to blonde, my hair took quite a battering (shud of known better really lol)...

so solution...

1) do deep conditioning treatments, weekly - use a reconstructor conditioner - this helps repair the hair

2)use a leave in conditioner after washing hair - this helps detangle the hair

3)avoid using heat on the hair if u can - no hairdryers etc. let hair dry naturally and if u do use a hairdryer, use a thermal protection spray.

4) avoid having any chemical treatments on the hair - unless uve already dyed it and jus need roots doing, avoid putting the hair colour on ur ends. if u havent dyed it - dont think about it.

5) getting regular hair cuts - 4-6 weeks.

hair grows average 1/2 inch per month and theres no miracle to make it grow faster. make sure sure u have a balanced diet this will help.

when ur hair is strong enough - in about 6 months time or so, if u do want long hair, u cud try having hair extensions - weave/sewn in 1s r better. ur own hair is braided and strips of hair sewn in - this gives ur hair a chance to grow etc. avoid glue extensions they jus cause damage. (i currently have weave in extensions)

** if conditioners are reconstructing 1s - they penetrate deep into the hair shaft and help repair any damage already caused then help smooth down the cuticle. no offense but i think i kno what i'm talking about.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

You could go to a hair dresser and see if they can sort your hair out.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

go to your hair hairdressers they should be able to give you some advice

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

i killed my hair because of dying it, i went to the hair dresser and she told me, the best thing to do was have regular trims, dont blow dry it, let it dry naturally.

you can buy some natural serums, if you need to straighten it.

just buy a good brand dry damaged hair shampoo and conditioner.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

It sounds like the hair is permanently damaged. Did you do both of these processes close together? You could go to a salon for an evaluation. But the wrinkly appearance that you speak of sounds like the damage is permanent. You may have to cut off as much of the damaged hair as possible while the healthy hair grows or maybe buy a wig.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

you should try to apply coconut oil! it works =) try not to use chemical-contained products! try to use natural products.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

as you said you can only really wait until all the odd hair has been grown out

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

damaged hair is damaged hair.

Stuff may claim to repair it but it won't. The only way to repair damage hair is to cut it.

You can start doing deep conditioning treatments once a week and take vitamins but it won't fix the hair thats damaged.

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

Hi I'm a part time hair stylist...

I'd say the worst possible thing you could do is wash it every day, even if it is messed up.

Go and see a hair stylist and he/she will give you an all natural serum to leave in... this would replace washing it and will leave your hair soft and deprived of all static electricity and grit that's left behind from all the treatment.

Stay away from hair straightners/curlers/dryers etc. Only use a towel and dry your hair softly... Remember to put in vatiman oil for repairing broken and spilt strands, you should see results in 2 weeks! Good luck

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

You are absolutely right! Too much chemicals are bad for your hair. Try to use light shampoo, you do not want to be smelly and dirty rigght? Wash and rinse your hair throughly with lukewarm water, and dry your hair with a towel instead of blow-drying it.

For vitamins, you should consider consuming food that contains substantial amount of Vitamin A which contains antioxidant to help produce healthy sebum for your scalp. Examples: Fish liver oil, meat, milk, cheese, eggs, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, apricots and peaches.

Vitamin C helps too:D There is supposedly antioxidant that helps maintain skin %26amp; hair health. Examples: Citrus fruits [like orange], strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe, pineapple, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes and dark green vegetables

Vitamin E - Antioxidant that enhances scalp circulation. Food sources: Cold-pressed vegetable oils, wheat germ oil, soybeans, raw seeds and nuts, dried beans, and leafy green vegetables.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) - Prevents graying and hair loss. Food sources: Whole grain cereals, brewer's yeast, organ meats and egg yolks. Daily dose: 4-7 mg.

Vitamin B6 - Prevents hair loss, helps create melanin, which gives hair its color. It won't change yours back to brown though, of course:D Examples of food with such supplements are: Brewer's yeast, liver, whole grain cereals, vegetables, organ meats and egg yolk.

Vitamin B12 can prevent hair loss too:D Examples are: Chicken, fish, eggs and milk.

But avoid taking too much of it! Like chemicals, an overdosage is in fact TOXIC and will cause serious health problems and even further hair loss/:

If you dont mind, you should just cut your hair short. I'm sure your hairdresser can recommend you a haircut that will make you look good, but also not strain your hair. With a lesser bulk, your hair can absorb the necessary nutrients better:D

Hopefully your hair will be alrigght(: If all else fail, just wait patiently for the next 2-3 months for your fringe to grow back:D Till then you can get yourself a nice cap/hat if it's really that bad:D

Good luck:D

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

I went to the hairdressers yesterday and they told me the same thing that my hair is broke with all the straightening i do ! They told me i should by this stuff, before drying your hair apply the gel on your hair and rub it in ! So i got some and it is Great, it was only 鎷?6 to and the woman said it will last for ages ! It is also in a green bottle ! And it make your hair smell really nice too !

So go into you hairdressers and say my hair is broke with all the straightening i do ! Can you give a product i can use !

Thanks Jodie

Help for broken hair due to dying %26amp; chemical straightening..?

Best thing to do is go to your stylist and have her trim your damaged ends. If you dont trim the ends then your hair will just continue to look frizzy and damaged. And try a good conditoning treatment. And stay away from those chemicals and colours missy!! Haha!

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

i have pretty wavy hair. it's good a good amount of thickness, but not super super thick. but almost always straighten it before big events etc. i would like it to be like that all the time. My mom keeps telling that japanese treatments will ruin my hair but i haven't done any real research. is my mom right?

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

Professionally I rarely if ever recommend this treatment. Here is why: The hair is stick-to-your-head-straight, you can not do this over any color or have any color done after. You must wait for at least an 1 1/2 " regrowth to retouch. That means while this is growing in your roots are curly and your mid-ends are straight. Very tough to work with. This hair once straight will not even hold a curling iron curl. Once this service is done, the hair can not go back to it's natural state. I hope this answers all of your questions. Best of luck.

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

japaneese treatments? cool i want one... or do u jean just straightnening ur hair? cuz that will ruin, fry, and make ur hair thin and ugly and just don''t do it.. it kills ur hair

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

they're excellent at getting straight hair, but yes, it will damage your hair.

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

It will damage your hair very badly- especially if you do it multiple times. It also doesn't last forever and you will have to straighten your hair as wavy parts grow back in. I'm sure your hair is pretty naturally. Why don't you wear it that way? If it is poofy when dry just put some gel in your hair when it's wet and don't brush it after it dries. I like the herbal essences gels- they work well for my super curly hair. Check out the website for more info about wearing your hair naturally.

Are japanese hair straightening treatments bad?

I recommend that you invest in a good flat iron. That way, when you want your hair to be pin straight just flat iron with a good serum. I don't recommend that you use any chemicals in your hair, it causes damage, breakage, brittle, and split ends. And you definitely will have to put in a lot of moisture in your hair. Go to folica.com and get a good flat iron.

Or any other variation?

Pubic Hair on a Chick: Big Old Hairy Muff (70s style), Nicely Trimmed Landing Strip or Fully Shaved?

As long as there is a vagina under there somewhere I don't care. Besides a fully shaved one doesn't stay that way for ver long. Before you know it you got prickly hairs poking your member.

Smooth and soft is the best.

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

So my very curly very thick hair was about 5 inches past my shoulders. It was a pain but I knew how to style it and I liked it. The ends were really fried though and I decided to get a haircut.

I found a salon that said they really know how to cut curly hair. Being stupid I brought in pictures of Kate Hudson in Almost Famous.

I asked for layers (which I had before and loved) and a few wispy "bangs" to have hanging out when I put it up.

My hair is now about collarbone length and there is a lot of bangs! They are cut uneven and not enough other layers. The bangs don't curl like the rest.

The worse part is that it forms a big TRIANGLE POOF!

Last night I was trying to figure out what to do and tried to style it and I almost started crying. I know I sound like a brat but I have really low self esteem, weight problems etc. My hair was the only thing about myself that I liked.

Now I can't even put it up in a bun without the pieces in the back falling out.

Does anyone

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

NO you don't sound like a BRAT...you sound like you just paid good money for a Horrible Haircut. And it makes me ticked because they get away with it. They talk, and chat, and walk around, take phone calls, while trying to remember what the hell they are doing to your hair...Often times a trim ends up to be 3-6 inches....AND it isn't suppossed to be....Then you pay them for your dissappointment and tip them to boot....and say THANK YOU.....POOH on THAT....Well, first of all, knowing what to tell the stylist helps.....you probably wanted just a TRIM....asked for a CUT and got a CHOP JOB. I must say that more experienced stylists in longevity and AGE often do know how to trim curly hair...And since my Husband has Natural Curly hair and has had dozens of terribly uneven hair cuts.....I bought him a Flowbee Haircutting System, and using the vacuum he cuts his own hair perfectly and has for nearly 15 years. It always comes out soft nice and curly. Now what to do with yours....WELL.....you have tried a few things and it isn't pleasing you. I have been there....so many times.....And for many years now, I just cut my own or as I have done for the last few years NOT cut it. Cept for my bangs. And yes I cut the back too. I can cut my own short style as well. It is below shoulder blades now.

Now for you. Well, to have wispy bangs I find using a pair of thinning shears to thin out the lower 1 1/2 " to the bottom straight part works well. Also, I gather my bangs side, the middle, then the other side all at once keeping all the hair where it is supposed to be but just bunched between my 2 fingers like they do in the salon....(Not straight across your face like they hang down) (mohawk) then I pull up towards the top of my head and out straight and firm and trim about 1/3" and let go and see if that is short enough. I will re-do this 2-3 times if necessary until I get the desired effect. You need a NEW SHARP THIN BLADED pair of scissors to cut your own hair, and use them only for hair....NEVER anything else.

This will help your bangs, as it helps to eliminate some of the bulk. Just do a little at a time, and check each time, repeat, until it looks fine to you. ALSO, if there is too much hair from the top of your head cut into bangs, use a rattail comb and separate out the bangs you want then let the rest grow out as it should be. It doesn't look right (to me anyway) if there is too much bangs. Bangs I think should only be the front 1/2" at the most or just a bit less.... A layered curly look is fantastic if it is done the right way and not too short. Maybe if the top is layered better you can mousse and scrunch it for some height, at the same time you blowdry it to hold it....Re wet it and do it again until it looks good and lays right...

YOU can go back to the salon, and ask for someone to try to fix what another screwed up it should be free.. I have even gone back the same stylist to have her fix what she did.....I show them it is uneven......and often I have good luck the 2nd time....That is when I quit going tho....When a stylist starts telling me what I want.....it is time to get out of the chair.....and go... I have done that too....forget the haircut. ALSO, IF THE STYLIST IS TALKING UP A STORM MAKING CASUAL CONVERSATION.....Let her/him know that you would prefer to just watch her cut your hair....that way you have more control and she is paying attention. Hope this helps Sweetie......

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

I totally understand where you are coming from. Cutting curly hair is something that is very detail oriented. all it takes is the wrong snip, and youve got an explosion. so, no, you dont sound like a brat.

this happened to me once. I went to a salon, and they did some changes that made it manageable.

I hope this helps you!!!

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

go back say you hate your hair and ask for a recut for free. they'll give it to you.

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

omg i feel so sorry for you i would feel the same way cause my hair is my favorite feature too alright now im gonna help you if you want to put it in a ponytail gell your hair into one but if you keep it down your should flat iron your hair theres really nothing you can do but it will probubly look better if its flat ironed oh and since you have curly hair use bed head tigi neat freak serum so your hair wont poof as much i hope this works for you i feel your pain. good luck!

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

oh I'm so sorry i have the same hair! i use sun silk anti poof and moose to tame mine or i spend 30-45 mins to straiten it.

good luck dear

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

First of all claim down and breath,You can control the poof with some anti-frizz serum(Bio-silk,super skinny) Use a good moisturizing conditioner. You will need to get the cut evened up,have the stylist side-cut some layers as this will also thin out the hair alittle and that will help control the poof as well.As far as the bangs go,you'll have to let them grow out.See if you can find a stylist that has curly hair themselves as they will understand your hair better than anyone.Your a wonderful person, love yourself and smile!!!

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

I think that if you put a picture of your hair on, it would be easier to help, but I'll try anyway. You could put some styling product on your hands and put it towards the roots above your ears to even out the poof between top and bottom. Or you could put product, water, or hairspray on the bottom part to control the poof on the bottom and lessen the traingle-ness.

Curly hair, got a bad haircut please help!?

Just gel it up %26amp; put it in a ponytail--seriously, what kind of girl puts her hair in a bun? Unless you can style it nicely in a sort of hip messy-bun to make it look chic but still business, buns are a big NO-NO because they make you look old %26amp; outdated.

If you can be bothered to, just flat iron your hair straight whenever you go out. There isn't much for you to do until your hair grows back. Unforunately for us girls who have naturally curly hair, bad haircuts are really hard for us to deal with until the hair grows out again!

Next time, try asking friends with curly hair where they typically get their haircut. Just about EVERY girl with curly hair can relate to that same problem--people in the salon not knowing how to properly cut curly hair.

I swim, and I use Hello Hydration. My hair's straight though. They also have one for curls but I dont know what it's called.

My mom has curly hair and she uses dangerously straight shampoo to make it straight.

Dove Cool Moisture works well too.

My hair is bigger than a wedding dress!!!?

well you have 2 options here

1. you can buy a nice straightening iron and straighten it

or

2. you can just leave it it sounds pretty

My hair is bigger than a wedding dress!!!?

cut it? so you dont have soo much to deal with

My hair is bigger than a wedding dress!!!?

try to towel dry your hair.that usually helps for friz. And also you should consider wearing A swim cap when you swim and use tresemme deep cleaning shampoo because it protects you hair from the pool chlorine :]

My hair is bigger than a wedding dress!!!?

i think you're creating the problem, honestly. you have to work with your hair, not fight against it.

first of all, straightening your hair with a straightening iron, only creates dry, damaged hair, adding to your problem. you need to stop straightening your hair or adding any sort of chemical or heat from tools like that.

when you swim, wear those caps! problem solved.

you can get your hair thinned out at a salon if it bothers you. use better products, like alba, burts bees or jason, not any drugstore products, because they have harsh chemicals that acutally do more harm than good to anyone's hair.

How to do my hair w/square face?

I've always had a more square-ish face, and I'm interested in getting something new for my upcoming big job interview - want to make a good impression. I'm 26, so I'm looking for something sophisticated, yet sexy and stylish to compliment my face.

Currently, my hair is long, straight, dark brown, and I usually part it down the middle or to the side a little - though, lately, I've been so bored with my hair that I put it up in a ponytail.

I'm so up in arms about what to do. I was thinking maybe adding some bangs and keeping my hair long, but then again, I also love Victoria Beckham's new bob. Any suggestions? What would work best for me?

How to do my hair w/square face?

I think you should cut your hair to be closer to your jawline. My face is sqare-ish, too, and I used to have it long, parted right in the center. I didn't realize until I cut it short how dumpy that hairstyle made me look!

Personally, I think that hair parted from the side is really cute, and adds interest to the eyes instead of the forhead. That might just be how I percieve it though.

Victoria Beckham's bob is cool, but I don't think that would work for everyone. Have you seen Sienna Miller's newer short-cut? I have something like that, and it works very well for me as a square-jawed person.

Good hair products?

k here we go

Catwalk products (professional salons)

there is a curling shampoo and a cream called curls rock. (plus a few other items) the cream says to put on damp hair- some prefer dry. But it by far is the best. Depends where you shop and where you live for pricing- your are looking to paying close to $15 for each shampoo and conditioner and the curls rock is about 20

Good hair products?

Use a bit of mousse .

Good hair products?

you can use mousse

Good hair products?

I have thick wavy hair, I like the chi smoothing cream, it smooths out the frizz. Also, to enhance the curl there's a good curl defining paul mitchell treatment. For best advice go to a hair salon and they'll help you out.

Good hair products?

I mix in BioSilk with whatever gel or mousse I use. The BioSilk is about $20 for a fairly big bottle (takes FOREVER to use it up!) that I get sometimes at Target or Costco, but it's usually at beauty supply stores or salons. I use gels or mousse from the drug stores. Right now I'm using one from Herbal Essences. The BioSilk helps it not be crunchy and makes your hair really shiny and soft.

Good hair products?

I work in the entertainment industry and trust me, it's all about Redken. All the celebrities who have their hair done for tv shows/movies/events/ etc have their hair done by hair stylists who work for Redken and only use Redken prodcuts. I recently got a gift bag full of Redken stuff like shampoo + conditionet + texturizer (Fabricate is soo great), shine, brushes, etc for dry hair and after using it, it really made my hair 200% better. You should go into a Redken salon and ask them to help you pick out products. I think I might befriend someone who works there just so I can get free products :P

Don' go for any chemical product.

I have mid thigh length hair.?

My hair is blonde with different highlights. Everyone tells me it is beautiful, but I am getting an itch to cut it. BUT I am terrified for some reason. I am scared to death. I have had it for such a long time. Here is the problem.....I don't trust salons in my area. The closest big city is Chicago. I want a top notch salon. I would even pay big bucks to have it styled by Jose Eber. Does anyone have any info on his salons? Know how to contact his salon by email? I have been trying to find info, but having no luck. Thanks much.

I have mid thigh length hair.?

Donate to "Locks of Love." Some poor little girl with cancer going through Chemo will love you forever.

I have mid thigh length hair.?

just do it, don't be a weenie.

I have mid thigh length hair.?

Go to chicago and look around at different salons and the one u seem to like best go to that! Just do it! Hair always grows out!

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

I can't decide between the two and I only have enough money to get one.

i currently have dyed blonde hair and that's why i wanted to get it colored, but i want to go darker brunette (i've always been blonde so this is a big jump)

i also currently have a metal straightener and heard that ceramic is WAY better for your hair.

so its tuff! should i invest in a new ceramic straightener or get my hair professionally colored

u decide!

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

go for the ceramic straightener, if you have already damaged your hair by dying it, then you are damaging wayyy more than u could b by using a metal flat iron. get your hair colored the next time around.

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

a new ceramic straightener!

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

I just colored my hair Blonde yet again. And I regret it. I finally have woken up and figured out that Brown is much more flattering and would look better.

Blonde is overrated.

Go get your hair colored!

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

i would go with the hair professionally colored because if u have a straightener that will at least do the job for you i think u could wait a while longer for a new one. but it depends if you really want to go brunette, be careful on your decision. :)

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

Get the ceramic starightener

In the long run you would be spending more money dying your hair.

You would more use out of a straighter-daughter of a cosmotologest

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

Maybe you could wait until a ceramic straightner goes on sale at your local beauty store and then buy it and instead of getting your hair professionally colored, you could do it yourself (or have a friend do it) with a kit from the store. If your hair is blonde now Herbal Essences has some great colors that are good for your hair and very inexpensive. And they last just as long as having it done professionally.

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

go with the straightener. You can always buy a box at the store for 10 dollars to color your hair. There are lots of great brands at the store - I like the one that you can get the hair color and highlights in the same box. Feria is also a great brand.

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

I would suggest the ceramic straight iron, chi specifically. The chi straight irons cost around $150, but they are totally worth it. I've had mine about 2 years and use it almost daily and it still works great. Another important suggestion i have when using any straight iron be sure to either use a serum or a straighting spray to protect your hair from the heat of the iron.

As far as color I'd sugeest getting some low lights the brown you are thinking of getting to be sure you'll like it and to ease you into the darker color.

I hope this helps.

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

deffinatley get your hair dyed instead

you can get a ceramic hair straightener later

they aren't as great as everyone makes it out to be anyway

i went out and got one myself becuase of that very reason

but I found there wasnt that huge of a difference

and was a lil dissapointed since i also sacrificed

doing something else with the money for it.

although it would be good for you to get one eventually

i dont think its really essential to have it right away especially if its a choice between the two..

Hair and makeup- need to know how?

im 16 and i see all the grls around wearing eyeliner and i want to so bad without everyone noticing the big change...also i dotn really know how to do it like that..i mess up!

my hair is really puffy (curly) and thick i hate it. i would do anything for straight thinner hair. and people tell me to wear it down and curly and i would try (not happy about it tho) and then it goes puffy even if i have product in it...it stays culry it just goes puffy at the sides and in the back...flat irons and stuff does not work but a regualr house iron does...i dotn know how to do that by myslef tho..

Hair and makeup- need to know how?

hair: after you get it wet in the shower, rub in some mousse from l'oreal. you can get it from target, drug stores, etc. then make a half pony and put a cute clip to hold it

makeup: you want people to notice the big change...but gradually...the first few days wear eyeliner, then start wearing eyeshadow...about a week after, rub on some Dream Matte mousse foundation (target, drug stores) and sweep on some blush (covergirl, target).......take about a month to gradually wear all this makeup....trust me, you'll get tons of compliments..i did

Hair and makeup- need to know how?

you should try by asking help. It won't hurt. I remember the 1st time i wore make-up it was a mess, then my cousin helped out and now she seeks for my help cause she likes the way i do my make up. Try it you'll be impressed. Report It

2 Big events? Need help!?

Ok, here's the deal. I have two big events coming up. A concert and a party. I'm very excited about both events, which are very formal. Here goes:

The concert is at a very big venue and is black tie. It's an orchestra thing. In the first half, I am wearing a floor length, lacy, black strapless dress with black heels with a rhinestone thing on the shoes. In the second half, I am singing and wearing a floor length white, strapless dress with lots of tulle layers and high pink heels. I need jewelry ideas that go with both dresses. the necklines are about the same.

Also, I will be wearing the white dress to a very formal party several days later. I need some other jewelry ideas for this.

Mind you, both events are so formal, and I don't want to look like I ran to Claire's and bought everything in sight. My hair will be straight, and I may be wearing a tiara at the concert. I have lots of jewelry and people will loan to me if I ask. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

2 Big events? Need help!?

Personally, I like gold accessories with but black and white so it will work with both dresses. Also, i think since the dresses are strapless you should go heavier on necklaces and maybe wear stud earrings so that you dont overdo it. I know that you said that your hair will be down, but I think that updo's go very well with strapless gowns. it makes them look more formal, epsecially with the tiara. Hope this helps! :)

2 Big events? Need help!?

Simple: pearls. Nothing looks better with black or white or prettier on skin of any color. Use the color of the clasp to dictate the color (silver, gold) of a simple bracelet. For earrings, go with modest chandeliers in the same color with small pearls.

2 Big events? Need help!?

o ya pearls are great with everything...if you but pics up of the dresses the question would be easier to answer though

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

I am a natural blonde, but since I dyed my hair red two years ago my hair is darker. So I dye it blonde usually once a month or once every two months. Anyway, I grabbed hair dye when I was at Walmart, and I think i accidentally dyed my hair a light light ash blonde. The biggest problem is that my roots are the beautiful golden blonde color [what i was going for] and the rest down to the ends are like 3 different shades of blonde, with the grayish platinum blonde prevailing. What do I do???? I don't have time to go to a salon at this moment, I need a quick fix please help.

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

go to the salon and get it fixeed.

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

cry and then go to the store and buy a haircolor remover kit and then buy the color you want and dye again and then do not touch another box in your life!! :) GOOD LUCK oh yeah and wear a hat to the store

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

go to the hair stylest or butition

NOW!!

DN'T HOLD BAK U DON'T WANA BE GRAY!

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

I have very blond hair. Anyway, I decided back in my high school days to dye my hair "spiced tea". Think Debra Messing's hair color. Anyway, it stained my hair for over a year. I eventually had to dye my hair a light brown color to remove the red and then dye it back to blond. Moral of the story, GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY. :)

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

hey you need to just do your hair like it hot and sexy maybe add some of the color cahnging gel and look hot okay?

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

dye it dark!!!

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

Coloring is a chemical process. It is chemistry for the hair basically. Your hair has picked up the undertones in the color that you used. If your hair was colored blonde, it has been lightened. You may as well call that bleaching, well, technically it isn't exactly the same chemical, but you ARE removing color from your hair. Therefore, stripping it would probably in my expert opinion cause it to break off. Point blank you need to have a prof. colorist put back the tones you need to eliminate the gray. NOT remove the color. She may use a toner to counteract the color, or choose to recolor it completely if the hair is still viable. It may already need some serious conditioning and time (at least two weeks) before it will hold color. If may need filled too (another chemical process to add tones back , similar to a toner in laymans terms) Whatever it needs, plan on paying for it. You could choose to shop around and get some estimated costs before deciding where to have it done, but be sure they sound like they know what they are doing, ask around and get recommendations from friends relatives that get their hair done, or who have also had to have corrective color.

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

The best way I know to fix this is to get color stripping, which is very hard on hair. I would strip it, and then color it with the right color. Then, most importantly deep condition it. The best is to get nexxus kerafix, emergencee, and humectress. In your palm mix the three, using about the size of a quarter of kerafix and a little more humectress, and just a little emergencee. Put it on wet hair, cover it, and apply heat. Old fashioned hair dryer or heating cap for 20 minutes. The heat opens the cuticles of the hair shaft. This conditioning is incredible! I know it's a little expensive, but it'll save your hair. Also you don't use much, just enough to cover your hair, so it lasts for a very long time. Condition about every 3-4 weeks, it'll help you grow it out too if you want to.

I dyed my hair blonde and it turned gray. What do I do?

WELL THAT SUCKS FOR YOU.

ALL YOU NEED IS WRINKLES TO LOOK LIKE YOUR GRANDPA

Okay....

How do i wear hair down? :(?

i have thick hair- not that thick its asian hair and once i wore it down and this girl smirked at me bcoz shes alwaiz goin on bout thik hair [she hates it]

but i recently had my hair cut and it doesnt look that thick anymore it looks ok but im scared 2 wear it down again i think i look prettier with my hair down from the front but from the bak i guess it might look thick.

will she smirk at me again- shes kinda popular so like she'll probably make everyone laugh at me :(

umm.. plz help..

A BIG BIG BIGTHANX2 ALL THOSE THAT HELP =D

Xoxoxoxoxoxo

How do i wear hair down? :(?

Okay, PLEASE just do what YOU want with your hair and forget about the insecure "popular" girl who has to make fun of others to take the attention off of herself. You say she "hates" thick hair- obviously she has issues! She is probably envious of your hair. Thick hair is beautiful and it sounds like you have a lovely new cut so by all means, try wearing it down.

How do i wear hair down? :(?

Well, depends on what YOU like, not what the popular girl likes. If everyone did everything she told everyone to do, your school will be filled with robots!I personally think your hair could go both front or back, because it's thinner. I have really thick Asian hair, and I wear it in the back because if I wear it in front, it makes me look like a banshee(lol). and besides, everyone likes different hairstyles. If it works for u, then go for it!

How do i wear hair down? :(?

Get a crimper and crimp your hair you can mess it up and it still looks good.

How do i wear hair down? :(?

Ok well not all popular girls are mean(I'm popular and me and my friends aren't mean unless we simply don't like you,but we like to give all the people that aren't popular high fives and stuff)But anyways do what you want to do..because believe it or not I have days wear my hair looks bad but I dont care..just have confidence with yourself that would help bunches and like if you have a straigtener then like straighten it...but DONT straighten it till its completly dry..if you do if while it wet or damp it will be frizz and will also dry and damage your hair...!

Good Luck!

Hair and make up help/tips!! PLEASE!!!?

My first school dance is coming up. Its a big deal since I'm at all-girls. I need hair and make up tips please!

-I have chest-length dark brown hair

-Brown eyes

I don't like too much glitter. Gloss with a bit of glitter is ok. Any tips please for hair and make up?

Hair and make up help/tips!! PLEASE!!!?

Well, a good idea is to make your hair different in some way for the special night - of it's wavy, you should make it straight and so on. If you typically wear it in a ponytail, let it down for the dances.

As for the make-up - as you are 13, don't wear too much. Remember, don't make yourself a new face, just underline what you already got. A little color to the eyes, cheeks (very little) and lips should do the magic. And for the colors - as you are with brown hair and eyes, try the warm ones. Blue and purple should also work, but only if your skin is nice. Coral and peach will be nice for the lips plus they are trendy.

And remember - if you are not used to make-up, spend some time practicing the previous days. Good luck!

Hair and make up help/tips!! PLEASE!!!?

I say make your hair a bit wavy. Not all over, but just at the lengths. As for makeup, I don't know how old you are or how much makeup you like to wear, so I'm going to say just use a bit of eyeshadow and mascara %26amp; some lipgloss.

:)

Hair and make up help/tips!! PLEASE!!!?

here is a makeup tip - When applying blusher always put moisturiser on before it as blusher can sometimes give you a spotty cheek! Go to your nearest beauty salon, they should help you with your hair and maybe give you a makeover for your big nite! x

Hair and make up help/tips!! PLEASE!!!?

just be fabolous!just wear a simple make up and im sure youll be great!

If there is a difference between home & salon hair color solutions, what is the difference speci

And should I start using home hair color kits after my hair being professionally done for 10 years or so. I need to save money big time but I still have to look professional for work.

If I can use home colour which brand?

Would it be a good idea to buy salon colour at a supply store and use that at home?

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

I guess it all depends on how your hair has been colored. If you've got highlights, or you are maintaining an unnatural shade of blonde (for you, anyway), your best bet is to stick with your stylist, and maybe see her less often, or ask her to refer you to someone who might charge less. (Hehe, yeah right. I'm sure if you had the nerve to ask her for a referral to a less expensive salon, that would MAKE HER DAY! LOL)

If you're just getting a regular dye or something, you might be able to take that up at home, or have a friend/relative help you maintain your color at home.

The difference between home and salon hair color solutions is the fact that home kits are a lot more risky due to operator error, and inconsistencies and dye lots among the products themselves. I mean, who is to say how long that kit has been sitting on the shelf when you purchased it? What if it sat so long that ti's not true to the color the box is advertising? There is also a HUGE margin for error. Mistakes can happen when you dye your hair at home, and you might not be pleased with the final outcome.

I have a friend who wanted to add some color to her own naturally beautiful auburn colored hair. She got herself a burgandy hair dying kit at the drugstore, and the next time I saw her, she was VERY upset about the outcome of her home hair dying attempt. Apparently she left the dye in too long, or screwed up on mixing the developer or something, because her hair was NOT burgandy. It was more like Ronald McDonald red, now that I think of it... Anyway, there are lots of things to take into consideration when you are thinking about dying your hair at home, like, which brand are you going to use, and stick with no matter what? I imagine that you must have some sort of consistent physical appearance to maintain, otherwise you wouldn't be asking about this. Clearly your appearance is important in your line of work. Do you believe it's wise to take chances with your professinal appearance? That's something else to think about. Then you've got to figure out what level (permanent, semi-permanent) of product you want to use. How long does the box say it will last. (After a few times of doing it yourself, you may discover that it doesn't last as long as the manufacturer claims...)

Which brings me to getting your hair colored in the salon. Most stylists don't use over-the-counter hair dying kits. They mix the developer and dye solution on the spot for the customer. Some salons even do custom colors, or will do their best to match your natural hair color and its individual nuances as closely as they can. I've found that salon color jobs last a lot longer, they're less stressful, and are far more consistent in terms of final results as opposed to the home kits. I'm just being honest here, I'm not a licensed stylist or anything... That's just my own personal observation. I think the duration of the dye has something to do with the quality and strength of the chemicals they use in the salons versus what they're allowed to sell on the shelves at the drugstore. Also, she can see what she's doing to your hair, as it's being colored. That's pretty important, when you think about dye staining your skin around your hair and neckline. What if you can't get that off before you have to be at work? What will you do then?

if you know a thing or two about chemistry and mixing hair dye without causing an explosion, by all means, buy the stuff at the beauty supply house, and get ta coloring your locks! I don't know if you're aware of this, but every licensed stylist must complete a pretty comprehensive chemistry requesite prior to getting licensed and hired and stuff. Mixing chemicals is no joke. A home kit can blow up on you if you're not careful and don't read the instructions thoroughly.

*sigh* I guess you will do whatever is most convenient and easy for you. I can't tell you what to do. All I can do is offer some different points of view and hope you think about them before you make your final decision.

I do have one last suggestion for you regarding this matter thoug, and it might turn out to be a good one, or it could end up being a total nightmare. If there is a beauty college somewhere in or near your community, maybe you could see your regular stylist every two months or whatever, and if you needed something done between visits with her, you could go and have that taken care of at the beauty college. You wouldn't believe how much money you could save if you helped the students at the beauty college get some on the job training, here and there! Sheesh, you might even be able to get your hair done, and a full set--all for less than what your personal stylist would have charged you just for the dye!

It's something to think about. I hope you get it all figured out. Be well, and take care. =)

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

Always go to Sally's Beauty Supply for stuff that you can use.

My mom has NEVER gotten her hair done at a salon ((for coloring)) she ALWAYS does it herself. And the products are ALWAYS from Sallys.

http://www.sallybeauty.com/

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

Really, it depends on what you expect to get out of it. The pigments in home color kits are usually less intense and/or formulas not as long-lasting. Also, if you already have professionnally colored hair and it's not one color---you will not be able to duplicate the foil/lifting process on your own. An at home color can be great as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. Additionally, if you are dark-haired, the difference will be less dramatic. If you are trying to bleach-I would strongly discourage you from trying it at home without assistance. If I ever color my hair on my own, I get better results going to a beauty supply and purchasing salon grade color and peroxide, and mixing them myself at home. Don't forget to buy color shampoo! It will truly extend the life of your color.

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

The biggest difference to me is that you have control over which level of developer is used. The developer is the cream that is mixed with the color. The different numbers on the developer represent the amount of active ingredients in the cream.

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

It would only be okay if you were just starting to color your hair, or you had let it grow out. Can you do that? After 10 years, it might be a good idea to give your hair a rest anyhow. There are some really good natural hair colors on the market - and have you tried a semi-permanent color? I love those because they fade out gently so that you don't have roots or a line of demarcation.

It would not be a good idea to buy a professional product to use at home, and besides, you have to have a hair dressing # to do that.

If there is a difference between home %26amp; salon hair color solutions, what is the difference specifically?

The difference between the salon and home is custom color.Color in the store is more general where the salon is customized. There are some good little hints to know if you are going to do it yourself.1.Your natural color level.1 is black and 10 is white blond. Most people are a 5 medium brown. That is why we get our hair done.Who wants to be medium brown right?

Your stylist will tell you your natural level.

OK so lets say you are a 5.When you look at boxes in the store they have a #.Next is tone.B for blond,R for red,A for ash and so on.You will see A code on the box 5r lets say. This color is the same shade as your hair but is red not brown. It is pretty easy. You will see when you go shopping.OK rules.Never color your own hair.LOL just kidding.Never choose a # more than 1 shade lighter or darker. This give a you 4-6.If you have highlights or bleach work in your hair already these areas take color three times greater than the rest of your hair.If there is an R on the box and you have high lights they will be hot pink.No joke!Ash will make your hair green. So you go and find nice Nutmeg and it says 5br.This is medium reddish brown. There is red in it.Does it work for you?So you find a 4gb.This is 1 shade darker and golden brown.Good if you have highlights.See,not so hard. You can do your hair at home and a good stylist will share her info so that you can make the right choice for you.

PS Sally's is awesome.(gold is warm and ash is cool)

With scene hair do i TEASE or no ?

With scene hair do i TEASE or no ?

I agree with the girl above...

I recently cut my hair into layers, but the top layer is a little short, any hairstyle ideas?

My hair looks fine down, but the top layer is just short! =\ I tried putting it in a ponytail, but it looks really small and sticks out horribly. My hair is really thick, so when I straighten it, it doesn't really look straight, it just looks big, stiff, and puffy. I need some tips and hairstyle ideas please! *I've already tried flipping it out, it's looks good, but I'd like a few more ideas* Thanks!!!! =]

I recently cut my hair into layers, but the top layer is a little short, any hairstyle ideas?

Try clipping or pinning back the short layer, it'll keep it flat and add an extra embelishment. Or push it back with a headband of some kind, either matching your hair or as vibrant color. When straightening, pull back your hair in three seperate increments, straightening one at a time. Then each layer will be straighter than if you did it all at once. Try a side-swept ponytail or a messy pulled-back style. Also, to tame thickness and poof, use SunSilk Anti-Poof shampoo and conditioner.

Good luck.

if your hair is thick...you should try going to the hairdresser and getting it thinned...when u straighten Ur hair try using the clothes iron...its way stronger than a straightener ...good luck:)

I recently cut my hair into layers, but the top layer is a little short, any hairstyle ideas?

my sister got layers...use a thick headband and leave the bangs out..it looks really nice. usually a black and white polka dot is best if u have black hair..or brown and white for brown hair

good luck...trust me it looks hot

Relaxing my hair?

My hair is relaxed currently but I'm thinking of going natural. I was wondering if once I'm natural, is there any way other than pressing the hair to get it looking straight. I was also wondering what are your thoughts on natural relaxers. Are they as harsh as chemical relaxers? Are they safer to use than the harsher chemical ones. I'm tired of going back every six weeks to get a relaxer, and I miss my curls but I don't want to have to use a curling iron to achieve the curly look and I'm not a big fan of the afro. Please help me.

Relaxing my hair?

You could try getting it to learn to smoke hash - this will relax it and you so that you won't care about how it looks.

Relaxing my hair?

i am not sure if u r black or white but i am a white girl who relaxes her hair so i'll try to answer...

i think only using a flat iron will straighten it if it is not relaxed... or a blow dryer with a metal round brush - but that is more of a pain in my opinion.

natural relaxers, in my experience, have not worked too well...very weak stuff

you can keep your curls if you have them do it for less time... then it wont be as straight... so you have to blow it out to make it straight, but you can air dry it (with the right product) to have curls. that's what I do basically... but there's also a gel (vavoom smoothing gel) that will smooth away frizz and hold it straight from being wet so you dont even have to blow it out or flat iron it.

if you grow your hair long enough, u dont have to relax it every 6 weeks... i relax it every 4 mos... cuz it's long enough so that the hair pulls the curly roots down basically.

Relaxing my hair?

try s curl relaxer!

Relaxing my hair?

Maybe your hair needs a vacation.

Relaxing my hair?

It depends on the curl pattern of your hair. If it's a tighter pattern, then relaxers is the best way to go, if not, then you may want to revert to hair pressing (but not excessively!). Any excessive use of chemicals that break down the natural hair curl pattern to achieve a straight look may damage the hair over certain period of time (if the hair is not moisturized and conditioned regularly, using a leave in or protein conditioner). If you want to continue a curly look, I would like to suggest rod setting (perm rods used to set the hair with a setting lotion). Excessive heat is not healthy for the hair as well!

Relaxing my hair?

you have a few options. You should be not be getting your hair relaxed every six weeks that is too often and damaging to your hair. You can keep on relaxing your hair but extend the time length between relaxers, like ten to twelve weeks. This can be done by using good products like ApHOGEE Shampoo for Damaged Hair, Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturizer, and PARNEVU After Shampoo Conditioner in addition to using a flat iron on those rough days. Or just go natural and enhance curls however the hair that was relax will remain permed and your hair will be blended with permed and natural hair. I recommend that you just lengthen your touch ups because a few more weeks of wait will not be harmful a bit to get use too but benefical because you will have more ne growth will lead to more length.

Plus at times you can do the curly thing too (I do that in between perms)

What prom hair style would look best?

updo or hair pulled-up halfway? my dress is strapless and has detailing at the bust, and the bottom goes out at the waist. some call it a "poofy" dress - its big and fancy. im terrible at describing. check it out if you'd like: http://www.preciousformals.com/precious_... any advice on hair and jewelry would be great =]

What prom hair style would look best?

you should get some type of updo. your dress is pretty.

What prom hair style would look best?

Its a very nice dress. If you have mid-length hair, leave it down and curl it a little. If you have longish hair then and updo would look awesome.

What prom hair style would look best?

Copy the model...... her hair and her earrings.

Voile!

What prom hair style would look best?

that dress is so pretty!!!!!!! I read in seventeen magazine that when you wear a strapless dress it's best to wear your hair down to balance everything out. I would wear it down and curl it. and for jewlery a nice pair of earrings and a cute clutch. i wouldnt wear a necklace because it will be too much with the detailing on top.

What prom hair style would look best?

ooohh you dress is pretty! ok...

i think you should wear your hair in some sort of updo, because if you wear it down or halfway it might hide some of the detail on the dress. also, you might not want to wear a necklace because it might take away from the dress. or if you really want to wear one a small necklace so it won't look too much with the detailing of the dress.

have fun at prom! =]

What prom hair style would look best?

pu ton your dress and try both because it id not particular to the dress buit rather to how you look in the dress

take pictures so you can compare one against the other

i read that some hair down is good on strapless but if you have nice shoulders like the model than definately do an updo

if you have fat shoulders like me down all the way anyways you dress is hot and you are gonna look so cute when u walk into prom im so excited for you

What prom hair style would look best?

Just copy the model! Or if you have a longer neck, pull your hair up halfway. Curl the ends. Whichever you do, leave little curls hanging out the top. Copy the model's jewelry. Find the jewelry at claire's. Try shopping online.

Also, if you put your hair in an updo, accessorize with an elegant yet simple necklace. That will make sure you won't get stuck with the ''bare'' look like the model in the picture.

What prom hair style would look best?

Your dress is so pretty. I think you should wear your hair half up because your shoulders and upper chest would look to bare with it all the way up .. A simple necklace with that hair woud look simply gorgeous. I hope you have a great time at your prom !

What prom hair style would look best?

I love the purple dress, well i guess it would mater if you put your hair in a certain way, well love my advice!!!

What prom hair style would look best?

I wore my hair down, with my sides in diamond clips......

What prom hair style would look best?

o wow what a cute dress well do you hair like this ok just do simplse curls

What prom hair style would look best?

An updo like the model or a side-swept pony with loose curls framing the face would look adorable. Have fun!

What prom hair style would look best?

I think a messy bun would look just fine with that dress. Good pick in the dress, too!

What prom hair style would look best?

Beautiful dress first of all! I'd go with an updo and maybe a few stray curls. As for jewelry I wouldn't go flashy, keep it elegant. Maybe diamond stud earrings or some that hang down barely past your earlobe. Because of the beading at the bust, you could get away with no necklace like the woman in the picture. Many shops also sell clear shoes (like Cinderella slippers) or you could go with silver heels. Have a great time!

How do I make alot of money in the hair business like the big names??

Curling my hair with ghd's?

I have bee trying to curl my straight hair (it never curls!) using ghd's. I watched a video on you tube and went home to give it a go, trouble is on some parts of my hair the curls stick up and out rather than down and curly, some of it looks fab, but then i have big sticky up bits at the sides hahaha. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am curling it the wrong way around the ghd's or am I holding it in the wrong position, please help, I would love some curls in my hair!

Curling my hair with ghd's?

it sounds like you may be holding the ghd's or bending them out wards rather than inwards. it is hard to explain how to do it properly, but you get a small section of hair straighten it then when you get the the bottom of the piece of hair start to twist it back towards your head. leave it for a few moments then release the ghd's and let the hair fall out. give the piece of hair a twist round your finger and see if that works any better for you.

Curling my hair with ghd's?

hello

its very easy..try the follwing site to know details

Curling my hair with ghd's?

okay well make sure you curl your hair from the top inwards and whilst turning the straightners move them down the strans of hair. if you use treseme heat defense spray it gives the best results. and straighten the bits that stick out first. leave for five minutes to cool down, then curl and rap the curl round your finger in a twist and let go.

Curling my hair with ghd's?

well start at the under side of your hair firstly, clip up all the hair and take one piece-not too thick-place on the ghds as if you were goin to straighten your hair then twist the ghds around your hair...to stop any pieces at the ends sticking out, twist into your head rather than away from it,don't stop twisting until all hair is pointing in and when taking off the ghds pull them down and out-don't open them or pull them out to the side...hope i helped!!

Curling my hair with ghd's?

I can say I have no idea what you are curling your hair with BUT...I have really straight hair and I love having curls in my hair, and the only way that I could ever get any to stay was to you a marcel iron, any curling iron would do as long as it has high heat. (Be sure to use shampoo and conditioner for high heat: thermo-silk seems to be best for me) This shampoo and conditioner uses the heat to help your hair not hurt it. Either way a nice moose right out of the shower will help. You need something to give it texture and for the curl you make to hold to. Keep in mind I have stick straight hair that never curls unless I do this. I moose it, dry it and then I section off my hair. While making parts of about an inch thick starting from my nape (bottom of neck) to the crown (of course the top) I grab only enough hair to curl to start with maybe a half inch in thickness. A good way to know how much hair to put in the iron is to look at the diameter of the iron you are using. take only that much hair it will make it easier. Also this is going to take a while but I promise your curls will be worth it. I curl my hair like this and it will stay all day in the worst weather. Your products are most important they are going to allow you to keep and maintain your curl. Of course the shampoo and conditoner need to be for curls and heat, the moose whatever kind you like, and to finish your curl spray some holding spray right after you take the iron from the curl. This will set your curl before it cools allowing the hair to stay curled as it cools and sets itself in that shape. If you would like to seperate them before you spray do so quickly the longer you wait to spray and hold the sooner they will fall out. I hope this helps and if you would like some more info you may email me. Also I am a paul mitchell associate so I do have experience in hair care.

Curling my hair with ghd's?

when i curl my hair i curl under, that way for me the curls didnt stuck up like they did when i curled over. hope that helps. good luck

Curling my hair with ghd's?

curl it in a down motion that will stop the curls going outwards or just use curling tongs that's a lot easier

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

What are some ways to line my eyes to make them look even bigger?

I already have big eyes, but whenever I line them all the way, they look so small.

What colors should I use?

And what ways could I line them?

Pictures would be awesome!

I have pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes.

Right now I line them from the outside to the middle.

But people are always like "Why do you only do half of your lid?"

And surprisingly, only the guys ask that question.

xD

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

Brown eyeliner and dark brown or brown/black mascara. I am blue-eyed too, and this make my eyes even bluer. Do not apply your liner all the way around your eyes, just all the way around on top; and about 3/4 of the way on the bottom right among your lashes.

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

I've heard using white on your inner corners can make your eyes look bigger/more awake.

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

well u should do it from end to end. but u could make it more bolder on the outside to the middle. and thiner from the middle to the corner.

use colors contrasting with your blue eyes. like a green.. a brown would be awsome and would make your eyes pop! make it smokey. with a charcoal/dark grey. use a mocha.. bronzy .. goldy.. browny colour to cool it down., just dont use the same blue . that will distract and make your eye less distinct

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

I have big blue eyes too and what i like to do to make them look bluer and bigger is line the bottom lash line (all the way along hehe) with a dark blue liner. Sounds weird i know but it makes your eyes look brillantly blue and large! It doesnt look tacky coz its only the smallest amount of colour! then u can use a neutral grey to do the smokey eyed look and your usual make up routine. Try it, i get so many compliments when i do it!! I also have pale skin and blonde hair! Good luck!

Lining Big Blue Eyes.?

*~*Try to line your eye as close to your lashes as possible (while staying on the lid). Also, make the line pretty thin, and gradually get thicker as your reach the outer corner. Also, to make your blue eyes stand out more, try using a blue mascara. I know it sounds weird, but it's not really noticeable, and it will make your eyes appear bluer, and bigger. I recommend Benefit's Badgal Blue mascara. It looks scary blue, but when it's applied, you can barely tell it's blue. HTH!! ;) *~*

Problem with controlling frizzy hair?

I have relaxed, blonde hair that is fine just blow drying but the only problem is that it gets really big and frizzy. What shampoos and styling products can I use without getting my hair oily? Please answer from experience or knowledge of if the product you are recommending actually works.

Hair like this?

How do I get my hair like this? I've tried braiding it and letting it out after it dries but it doesn't look like that.

Also, do you like this color or really blonde more?

http://www.hollywoodtuna.com/photo.php?i...

Hair like this?

try doing some loose braids while your hair is wet. use holding hair spray or mousse. Sleep with the braids in overnight... it never fails.

Hair like this?

I like that color more. It's so much more natural.

Maybe it's scrunched. I'm not sure. My hair doesn't do that after braiding it either.

Have you tried sleeping in the braids overnight?

Hair like this?

u usually cant get ur hair the same as its shown in piks

Hair like this?

She might just have naturally wavy hair. It's hard to make your hair do something "unnatural" (like straightening curly hair or curling really straight hair) without using chemicals. I imagine you could get a loose perm that would have the same effects, but it may damage your hair.

After a hair transplant, the growth is stunned, is this normal?

A family member recently, a year in April, got a hair transplant and it was growing great, no hair fell out at the beginning like it is suggested, but after six months there has been no more growth and some patches are still bald. In addition, the hair that did grown, has not grown more than 3-4 inches. Some hair follicals looks like stumble and hasn't grown since. Is this normal after a year and will it fall out or continue to grow? There has been some stress, but not excessive as to make such a big impact, any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for your informative answers!

Hair cut for my facial features!?!?

Ok, so I have VERY full bright lips and a big nose. My nose has a bump on the bridge and a little wide at the bottom. I want a hairstyle/cut that will play down my large nose. I currently have long blonde hair, slightly layered, with side-swept bangs. I'm a teenager so I don't want anything too dramatic but I want something to contrast my prominent and bold facial features. Help!

Hair cut for my facial features!?!?

I would get layers, not slightly layered.

Maybe put some highlights in if u dnt have any darker highlights. If your hair is all blonde, with no dark natural highlights, i would put some in.

Maybe cut ur hair like a little longer than shoulder length. Try doing the opposite of what u have rite now. If u have straight hair, try curly or wavy. If you have wavy hair, try a straightner.

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

I just became 100% natural 6 months ago and my hair is about 2-3 inches unstreched i have corksrew curls shape like an z or a s that`s big as my pinky or a coffee stirrer. When i put a leave in(garnier frutis curls and shine) in my hair by smoothing it in the curls are gone so i would have to wash it out then i put in the gel by appllying it to my hair in 3 sections all in one time then i comp with my fingers, the curls appear but the IC gel leaves white stuff in my hair.I`m going to buy aubrey styling product that`s natural at a health store, but i want to know if there`s a way that short hair curlies apply product to their hair.Scrunching works well with people with long hair but when i did that with my ic gel it would make my hair look as if nothing was added.

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

While you're in the shower (or with a spray bottle) wet your hair completely, apply a conditioner and comb through (get rid of all the tangles) ... rinse out the conditioner .... then apply a good moisturizing leave in conditioner.... then apply your styling product while you hair is wet and let it air dry (or use a diffuser to make it dry faster). The trick is to not comb your hair after applying your styling products because it will cause the hair to become frizzy/puffy... Use your fingers and let it dry naturally.... Spritz it with an oil sheen or glosser for shine.

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

Thank you! I have exactly the same type of hair! Report It

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

I've heard some pretty good things about Bumble %26amp; Bumble - They have a hair line specifically for curly hair called Curl Conscious.

They're a bit on the expensive side though - usually sold in spas or salons.

Does any one know a way to get your hair BIG like in the eighties??

im trying to find a look thats me before school starts. And i loooove the eighties. i think it would be nice to know how they did it.

Does any one know a way to get your hair BIG like in the eighties??

After blowdrying your hair "normally"...flip your head upside down and spray it with "Aquanet" (or any cheap hairspray)... Another trick...use a curling iron...use the cheap hairspray while it's still "curling" on the wand...then run a pick through it to break up the "solid" curls... Good luck!!

(Invest in cases of Aquanet...that's how we survived the 80's!!)

Does any one know a way to get your hair BIG like in the eighties??

Since I had big 80's hair I will tell you the two secrets - Aqua Net Hair Spray and a curling iron. Tease, tease, tease!!!

Does any one know a way to get your hair BIG like in the eighties??

a blow dryer and hairspray and a good comb should do it and a curler like the last answer said... aqua net was the best 80s hairspray ever.. use aerosol.

Does any one know a way to get your hair BIG like in the eighties??

I always used hot rollers and lots of hair spray back then.
